How About We Support The New Manager ?

Some of you need to take a long hard look at yourself.

if it is to be Moyes most have written him before before he has started, what is that going to do for our chances to stay up ?.

We have a team of old, overpaid under performing prima donnas, maybe we need someone to give them a rollicking rather than an arm around the shoulder.

I'm at least prepared to back the new guy, so should all of you

Most of the snivelling little turds just moaned to the owners and to their mates about it. If they were that bothered, they had 23 other hours in the day to work on their own fitness, although I don't suppose that dawned on them.

Still, no excuses for them now - they have ORGANISATION and DISCIPLINE. All on their heads now as far as I'm concerned, not MOYESIE.

I don't believe for one second that the board seriously went after better or more ambitious options. I believed that may have rung Ancellotti and offered him 50k per year and a free studio flat in Barking Rd, I don't believe for one second any serious attempt was made. They havent got it in them. They're cheap. Even for people like me who desperately wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, the truth is too apparent to ignore.

By all accounts it seems like something he has in common with Bilic is he's not even close to the board's first choice.

The general view is they approached Silva, Mancini, Hiddink, Ancellotti, Pellegrino and Koeman. Some were keen but not until the end of the season, some were not interested.

That means our options reduced to fhe likes of:

Moyes
Pardew
Redknapp
Allardyce

The board have made the call that Moyes is the best of that bunch (probably heavily influenced by Tony Henry who worked with him previously), within the constraints they want to impose (contract that whilst for a couple years can be torn up in 6 months time on a whim given they dont view him as the long term solution as of now).

The time to judge them on that will be in about 10 to 15 games time when we see if he's had an impact or not, given this season is now basically a rescue job.

If we stay up the next time to judge will be at seasons end where if Moyes hasn't pulled up trees, do they go and get a manager that ties to their supposed ambitions.

There was a problem with Bilic and he probably had to go, I say probably because it only made any sense if he was replaced with someone better. There is nothing to suggest that Moyes is that man. His recent record is terrible, the worst in the league in fact, despite having plenty of money to spend last year he came last and almost single-handedly destroyed team morale, talking of relegation at the start of the season.

If you really have to compare Moyes to Bilic, then compare them like-for-like when they competed against each other. Last season for example. Moyes had a greater net spend, yet contrived to finish far below. It doesn’t suggest he was better.

Who knows, he may take us to premier league and Champions League glory within the 3 years, that doesn’t mean he isn’t the most unambitious, cheap and limited appointment we could have made now though. A truly shocking appointment that you could only support if you wilfully ignored any evidence available to you.

Yep, the site is and always has been fullnof kneejerk cunts. At the other end of the spectrum are those that are blind to a manager's faults, for whatever reason. It would just be nice if, for once, the bloke is given a chance. My current opinion is that Moyes is a shambles but I hope he proves me wrong.

I think the frustration for fans is not actually anything personal with Moyes. It's more to do with the owners letting another opportunity to get in a top manager.

Over the last two seasons we've scored an awful lot of late goals as well. Many of our shit 1-0 wins at the cesspit have been secured via injury time winners. Swansea this season being the most recent example. We didn't concede in the last minute at Crustal Palace because players were unfit, we conceded because Antonio is a thick cunt, and some of his team mates are almost as thick.

Still, overall I agree, improved fitness can only be a good thing - but as I say, on the assumption that's what Moyes brings, I hope the criticism for the players failings is directed where it should be, and not at the new manager

I think I just made my point. I have exactly the same concerns as you on Moyes. However, he's on to even more of a loser from day one with those fans who thought Bilic could do no wrong. He simply won't be given a chance.

If Moyes is so good at getting teams fit and organised, like I keep hearing, then why did Sunderland go down with such a whimper last season? Granted it's a shit show there and no one maybe could have saved them but with the traits he supposedly has i'd have expected a slightly better effort.

This is about Moyes, and I think my concerns are genuine and not at all 'snidey' as you were quick to point out.
